Classic Red Lip Look with a Twist!

Ive been playing around with some different looks as usual… And I wanted to put a little twist to the “classic” red lip look! So instead of all red, I added some dark pink in with the red and some frost to the pout! What do you think?
Products used:
Lips- Lined with NYX “Red” lip liner, blended with MAC “Moxie” (bright pink color) lipstick , then added MAC “Warm Companion” (Nude frosted color) lipstick to the pout.
Eyes- BH Cosmetics 120 Color Palette 2nd Edition, Mary Kay Liquid Eyeliner, Mary Kay Lash Love Mascara.

The IMATS is the International Makeup Artist Trade Show! If you are a makeup artist and/or beauty blogger and have not attended IMATS before, I strongly recommend it! It was such a good time and not just the shopping but the classes! There were so many vendors there and many of them had items from their unlaunched Spring collections! The classes and sessions were amazing! Education is so important in this industry so don’t sell yourself short!

Eyebrow Tutorial for Beginners

As you may know I have been working on getting my YouTube channel going with some video tutorials! This evening I posted my 2nd tutorial which focuses on the brows! Hope you enjoy and find it useful!
Brow Tutorial for Beginners
1) Outline the bottom of brow with eyebrow pencil. 2) Outline the top of brow with eyebrow pencil. 3) Using an angled brush, fill in brow with brown eyeshadow. 4) Using a concealer brush, clean the edges with a little bit of concealer. Outline the bottom and top of brow. Blend in the concealer.

Once again I used the BH Cosmetics Party Girl Palette for the eyes. I used MAC Viva Glam Nicki lipstick with some Philosophy Raspberry Sorbet lip gloss over it. I also used Mary Kay Strawberry Cream mineral cheek color on my cheeks.
Has anyone else attempted this look? Or other celeb looks? I want to see!

Eyes: Lid- Mary Kay Mineral Eye Color in “Chocolate Kiss”. Crease- Mineral Eye Color in “Almond”. Highlight- Mineral Eye Color in “Gold Coast”. Eyeliner- Mineral Eye Color in “Coal”. Lashes- Mary Kay Lash Love Mascara in “Black”
Face: Mary Kay Concealer in “Bronze 1″. Medium coverage foundation in “Bronze 500″. Mineral powder foundation in “Bronze 1″. Mineral cheek color in “Sparkling Cider”.
Lips: Mary Kay lip liner in “Neutral” all over lips. Cream lipstick in “Hibiscus” blotted after application. Nourishine plus lip gloss in “Berry Tart”.

Friday Night Glam: Vamped Out Lips

My Friday night face this week….
For my eyes I just used some really simple neutral colors, darker color in crease. I was in a hurry so I didn’t use my typical gel eyeliner, instead I used a dark grey eyeshadow from the Sleek Makeup iDivine Ultra Matte Palette. I used a small smudge brush to line both my upper and lower lash line.
For my face I used Mary Kay Concealer in Bronze 1, Medium Coverage Foundation in Bronze 500, and Mineral Powder Foundation in Bronze 1. Then I applied MAC Mineralized Blush in Gleeful.
Now for my vamped out lips… I lined my lips with a black liner. Then I applied MAC’s Dramatic Encounter lipstick from the limited edition Glamourdaze collection. After, I lightly re-lined my lips with the black liner.
